AMP Capital, in partnership with CSIRO, approached Velvet Onion & Friends to explore opportunities for integrating solar energy solutions into Australian homes. With energy prices rising and solar technology improving, AMP Capital saw a chance to reintroduce solar energy to the market. Our task was to design a seamless end-to-end service experience, from determining the viability of solar systems to managing their installation and optimising their use.
Vision
To bring innovative solar energy solutions to the Australian market, enhancing the adoption of renewable energy and improving the overall customer experience.
Process
We conducted a series of pilot installations, observing customer interactions to identify pain points and opportunities for improvement. This led to the development of a comprehensive service blueprint detailing customer actions, employee roles, and support processes. By maintaining customer engagement during unavoidable delays, such as system certification, we ensured a continuous sense of progress and trust.
Results
After 12 months of trials, the Evergen energy system was launched, offering Australian households a sustainable and efficient energy solution. The project demonstrated the value of integrating advanced solar storage solutions, making clean energy more accessible and appealing to homeowners.
